Mary Miller - Science

  • Environmental Science --> Students will develop understanding in four key areas in environmental science; they are:1) Earth’s Active and Tumultuous Geological History , 2) Earth’s many Dynamic and Interrelated Systems, 3) Earth’s Continually Changing Climate Systems, and 4)Anthropogenic Issues and Remediation in Our Quest for a More Sustainable word. This class focuses on the environmental issues facing the world today and what solutions we can make to combat them.  

     
    Integrated Science --> Students will develop understanding in four key areas in science; they are:1) Earth’s Biology, 2) Chemistry, 3) Environmental, and 4)Physics. This is a PROJECT BASED class. Therefore, most of the assignments will be labs or projects. The topics covered are meant to look at real world science problems. Some of the topics are Hurricanes, Roller Coasters, and Toxicology. There is a dissection component to this course.
