• Students can apply to East Brunswick Magnet School during 8th grade to begin as freshmen. Students need at least one marking period of 8th-grade grades before applying.  

    Applications to the School of the Arts require an audition.   

    Transfer applications will be considered based on availability for current 9th and 10th-grade students.  11th-grade transfer applications will no longer be accepted.

Application Process

    Students interested in applying to East Brunswick Magnet School should complete the Application. To complete an application, you must first make an account. An application is not considered completed until receiving all supporting documents. Required documents for admission are:

    1. Final 7th-grade report card
    2. Current 8th-report card
    3. Discipline Record
    4. Attendance Record

    I submitted my application. Now what?

    Our counselors will review your application and ensure you have all the required documents. You will receive an email from the admission team if your application has been selected for an interview.

How to Apply to School of the Arts

  • Students interested in applying to East Brunswick Magnet School of Performing Arts will follow the same application procedures outlined in How to Apply.

Transfer Students

  • Transfer applications will be considered for the next school year (September 2025 start) based on availability and will be contacted in June 2025.

    Students who wish to transfer to East Brunswick Magnet School should fill out the same application and follow the same application process. Transfer applications will be considered based on availability for new 10th-grade students ONLY.  11th-grade transfer applications will not be considered.

    Transfer students should include the following documents with their applications: 

    1. Transcript 
    2. Current Report Card
    3. Discipline Record
    4. Attendance Record
    5. State Test Score(s) 

     

    Students also need to fill out the transfer affidavit from the NJSIAA
