Projects: 50%
- This class is based on working to create physical art. Projects should demonstrate understanding of Lessons, Key terms, and learning goals. We do not have Tests because Projects show what you know.
- Projects are graded based on effort and not the end result. The amount of time spent working counts as effort.
- Effort is defined as “a vigorous or determined attempt”.
- Participation is a part of project grades. Participation is asking questions, taking notes, communicating with peers to compare work and share ideas, and coming to class ready to learn and create!
- Projects are due before the next Topic. Progress grades will be entered and can be updated if projects have more work and show improvement.
Sketchbook: 15%
- Must contain Do Now Sketches (5-10 mins each) and have Notes on Key terms
- Sketchbook is also a journal and notebook and should reflect knowledge of lessons. Date each page-should contain a minimum of 1 page each day of class. Students should have a Do Now sketch for each day they are marked present.
- Sketchbook Checklist will be posted, use “what should I do in my sketchbook” for ideas
