Carpentry/Building Trades

This course emphasizes the basic skills and knowledge needed in the carpentry trade. Students learn the use of hand tools and the operation of all common woodworking machines. Students enrolled in the program also learn the basics of home construction, planning, design and cost estimates. Safety, mathematics and related drawing are also taught.  Upon graduation, students have the opportunity to apply for an apprenticeship program or to pursue advanced training.
