Collegeboard.org is an informative website designed to help high school students look into college requirements and majors and utilize SAT resources.  This assignment is due the day after Thanksgiving break.

Go to www.collegeboard.org

Click on College Planning.

Click on Paying for College and explore those options.

1.       How much was given by the federal government last year through grants, work-study funds, and low-interest loans? __________________________________________________

2.       How much money did the average student receive last year to help pay for college?  __________________________________________________________________________________

3.       How much of the money in question number two was in the form of grants?  Remember: anything not in the form of grants needs to be paid back! _____________________________________________________________________________________________

4.       What form do you fill out when you are in college to see what aid you are eligible for? _______________________________________________________________________________________

Go back to College Planning and click on Find Colleges.

                Research three colleges that you are interested in attending.  Search them on the
                College Board website and complete the attached papers for each school.

Finally, go to the tab under College Planning that says Make a Plan.  Make a checklist below of the things that you still need to do according to the College Board website:
