Welcome to the Edison Academy Magnet School! This website will provide helpful information for current and prospective students and their parents or guardians. We are a career academy where students major in Engineering, study high-level academic courses, and fulfill all state requirements for high school graduation. You can see our curriculum under the Academics section of the website.
As one of the Middlesex County Magnet Schools, the Edison Academy is a public high school open to residents of Middlesex County free of charge. Interested students must apply in the fall of their 8th grade year. See the Admissions section of the website for admissions dates and FAQs.
Our mission is to attract the best and brightest students of Middlesex County and nurture them into the thoughtful and ethical STEM leaders and citizens of tomorrow. We maintain a strong partnership with parents and guardians in this process. See the Academy Foundation section for information about our PTO.
Personally, I joined the Edison Academy in 2012 as a math teacher, after over a decade of teaching in public and private schools. I also spent four years as a software developer in downtown Manhattan, including passing through the World Trade Center on the tragic day of September 11, 2001. At the Academy, I have enjoyed the best years of teaching of my life. For five years I taught the upper grades and the math electives. I was thrilled to be teaching students who were not just intelligent but also hard-working and humble.
I am committed to working with all district and school staff to make this great school even better. I look forward to working with all stakeholders - staff, students, parents, alumni, and community members to make this school the best that it can be!
