Two Academy Sophomores, Prisha Maggu and Saadhika Prakash, participated and had their work published in the Young Writers USA Empowered Poetry.
Young writers aged 10 to 18 years old were invited to write a poem for Empowered, the amazing new poetry contest designed to help students find their voice and express themselves.
The organization received over 5,000 entries and our students' poems were chosen for publication in their special anthology titled Empowered - Poets From the USA showcasing the works of talented young writers.
Their five favorite published poets will receive $100 each and our works "One Day too Late" and "The Idea of Empowerment" are currently scheduled for publication on July 31, 2022.
