Research Club started as a way for students to gain research experience at the high school level after the school’s senior research program was discontinued. Since then, it has evolved into a club that teaches students how to write research papers, perform research, and meet with professors in the fields of STEM. It has hosted an annual Research Convention, bringing hundreds of students from neighboring schools. Students with no or little research experience are welcome to join. After learning about the basics of research, members will have the opportunity to reach out to and apply for research internships at area colleges. Research is a central part of university life, so joining this club will provide students with a head start while allowing them to discover and learn about their interests.
