Emma Contursi is a senior studying civil and mechanical engineering at Edison Academy Magnet School. She is president of Spanish Honor Society and a mechanical engineering advisor. Outside of school, she is both a student and teacher at her local dance studio Metuchen Dance Center, where she spends nearly 20 hours a week. She is also an active leader in her community as both captain of the MDC dance company Dance Reflections, and the founder and CEO of Dance Across the World, an organization which provides resources to underprivileged dance studios. In the future, Emma is interested in studying engineering, history, and philosophy, and wants to use her engineering knowledge to solve environmental issues and help international communities.
