Soumya Singh is a senior at Edison Academy who somehow manages to balance school, sports, and way too many extracurriculars. She’s co-captain of the Varsity Girls Tennis Team, but more importantly, she’s had a lot of fun with her team along the way in the past two years since the team was formed. Outside of tennis, she’s vice president of the Cultural Diversity Club and involved in a mix of STEM, service, and research organizations, including Edison Academy’s Women In STEM club. She’s spent several hours volunteering in the ICU at Raritan Bay Medical Center and helps run the New Jersey branch of Positivity4Patients, a nonprofit supporting hospitalized patients. In the future, she plans to go into medicine—hopefully pediatrics—because she loves working with kids and wants to make a meaningful impact in their lives. Whether she’s on the court, in a clinic, or somewhere in between, she just tries to do her best and enjoy the process.
